I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the

tary of State for the Colonies, that they have had under
their consideration the question of Coaling facilities and
storage accommodation for Coal at present existing at the
Kowloon Naval Depôt.
2. In order to meet Naval requirements, My Lords
are about to reclaim a portion of Kowloon Marine Lot No. 41
which is held by the Admiralty for so long as it is required
for Naval purposes under "Terms of Possession" dated 18 th
May 1899.
3.
I am to transmit, for your information, a plan
showing in blue colour the area to be reclaimed which will be
entirely within the Admiralty boundary.
I am,
sir,
Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office.
